Val D'Isere week on the 14th January, was a great success, many thanks for all the feedback from clients. This certainly will be another venue for next year offering full day courses for those keen to we shall keep you posted. Next available course, 17th - 20th March, lvel 3 and level 4, 3 day course, 2 spaces left on each course presently. We hope to run a level 5 group at the end of this week, if anyone is interested, 20th - 23rd March with Tim Jackson. We are also just considering whether to run a course on the 14th April in Val D'Isere or Tignes, if you are interested in this, please email us directly.

A superb week out in Courchevel this week, our 4 groups running with Bryan and Tim Jackson have certainly been lucky with the snow conditions being excellent and wall to wall sun! Photo above of Bryans All Mountain Performance Group. We move on to Val D'Isere next week. This course is now full but we have one or two spaces left for our 3 day courses in Morzine in Jan and in March.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all, from TEAM INSPIRED!
NEWS......Please find some photos from our pre-season ski weeks in Tignes. 25th November week saw blue skies with some great skiing on the Glacier and down to Val Claret, ideal for our Taste of Race Course. Then came the snow!!! It fell, and fell and fell......the team out in resort said they had never seen such snowfalls for many seasons ( and we have done a few !!). Below are some photos from our recent weeks, we hope those that managed to escape early enjoyed some ski time, even at times in knee deep and white out conditions, great for your technique and constant learning appeal! We would like to wish everyone a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR from all of us at INSPIRED TO SKI. All the best for 2012 and hope to see several of you again soon. NEWS from Tignes as our first course kicks off - our Taste of Race groups start, 2 All Monntain groups and 2, 3 day Performance courses, with clear blue skies, we have just had a report back from some of the team in Tignes. Bryan, Tim and Martin Hemsley were up for a ski today and said the Glacier is in very good condition with the run down to Val Claret open. Here's Martin's brief report and some photos of the guys in action.
"The three of us met up again today for a ski in the new Team INSPIRED Jackets, which are great but we strongly recommend wearing sunglasses because they are so bright in the sun!!! As for the snow conditions, it's not yet quite Tignes as we know it for this time of the year, but we've seen it before, however the snow on the glacier is gorgeous...good cover, dry and light. The resort has done a great job in covering the Lanches piste down to Val Claret, so all in all, not bad bearing in mind no other resort can offer a patch on this.".
Snow as been forecast, we understand, for the latter part of next week, so with temperatures low, we are hoping those early snowfalls will reappear soon. We shall aim to keep you updated on all our pre-season courses with photos, news from the slopes, from the team and our courses in action.

Bookings are going well and courses are filling for our pre-season weeks in Tignes. 9th December is practically full (please check with us though if this is your preferable week) but we do have some spaces on the 25th November (including a 3 day course up and running) and the 2nd December week, which is also busy. The Espace Killy is advertising opening on the 26th November weekend for the season. We shall post details shortly of a LIFT PASS OFFER for these pre-season weeks that are available to our clients booking the package.
We hope to run a few evening sessions at Hemel Hempstead in the next 3 months, if you are interested in these events, please do contact us. We look forward to keeping on any events coming up within the autumn and pre-winter months, including early snowfalls, ski shows and ski offers. Yipee, the white stuff has surfaced again just in time for our March courses. Forecast this week in this area of France appears to be sun, cold but some snow possibly coming in next weekend. Chamonix is full and running this week. Next weekend in Morzine 12th/13th March level 4, Level 5+ and Off Piste Intro to Ski Touring, very few spaces left but call us for a complete update on 07885 630340. Our Ladies weekend, 19th March, we have still one or two spaces, Level 2, Level 3 and Level 4, then on the 22nd - 25th March - 3 day all genders Performance, we have some spaces in our level 4 and level 5 groups, check out the latest snow from MORZINE on the link below, care of one of our instructors Dave Peek, last weeks skiing.

It's been a very busy start to our New Year with courses running in Chamonix, Morzine and Courchevel. Although the French alps could do with a top up of snow, the sun has been shining and we have experienced some great skiing working on all the areas that the conditions offer to help our clients improve, be challenged, gain confidence, try new things and have fun! Our team out in France have been working with their groups in all the variable conditions, All Mountain Groups being challenged and constantly learning new skills and adapting what they have to help focus on specifics when they need to. Our Novice and Nervous groups getting faster, gaining confidence, learning how to control their speed and negotiating the terrain to move them on to new horizons and our Off Piste Groups skiing some couloirs, improving their bumps and all the off piste terrain available to them, all under the safe supervision of our top team in France. It's been pretty cold out in Tignes this week, beautiful blue skies and some great snow conditions, if but a bit nippy!!! Yesterday it started snowing and has kept going for most of today, so a great days skiing for our last few days of this weeks course. Please see below a few photos from our recent courses running. Snow has been falling on and off all weekend and the forecast for this week reads, snow, snow, snow, which is excellent news for all those clients heading over to Tignes from the 27th/28th November. Well, January 2010 has come and gone and we have had an array of courses running throughout the Alps. Courchevel saw some empty slopes and great skiing, as did the Off Piste Combination Course in Chamonix with Mark Gear and our 3 day Courses in Morzine with our team over there. February is a little quieter for us, as we leave the busy slopes for the families and Europes holiday time. We next hit the slopes early March - 7th March in Chamonix, we have a few spaces left on our Off Piste Combination course, level 4-5 and level 5-6 group running. Then on to Morzine for our 'NEW Off Piste Intro to Ski Touring' course, level 5, plus a further Off Piste Combination Course, level 5/6 and an All Mountain Performance level 4 to date. If you cannot make a full week then our next 3 day course starts on the 20th March, we have 3 groups running to date, level 3-5. End of season see's us return to the Hotel Aigle where we take over the whole Hotel ( ideally ) with many new and returning clients. Le Tour heads to the Alps.
Julie Slaughter, our booking agent, that many of you may have spoken to, headed for the alps last weekend. In Tignes Julie experienced some amazing July snowfalls, right down to the village and then headed off to see the Tour de France towards Verbier.....what a weekend !

Summer Update.
What a match! We were routing for Roddick,(mainly because he was the underdog), but what a great end to a fantastic fortnight! Including the weather! Let's hope it returns again soon! We are about to post out to our mailing list, this years programme, if you would like a copy, please do email us. The pre-season and January dates are filling up very well, the Hotel Aigle is nearly full now on the 5th December, although we have alternative neighbouring chalets very close by. We have some great new courses starting on 28th November too. Including a 'Taste of Race' and 'Physio to Ski'. Full details on our web pages. THE SNOW CENTRE opens in Hemel Hempstead, Herts.
It was fantastic to see the opening of another indoor snow slope at Hemel Hempstead called THE SNOW CENTRE this week. Alain Baxter and many other British Skiers, Boarders etc were inovlved with the opening of the Centre...See photos below. The snow looks great and facilities very good, inluding a Snow and Rock, Bar, Cafe, Conference areas. INSPIRED TO SKI are looking forward to running a number of courses and events at the slope, do contact us if this is something that you may be keen to come along too. !!.

Summer Ski Week - Tignes.
6-11th July we have a weeks ski trip organised in conjunction with Mark Gear, one of our trainers who lives out in Chamonix. We can arrange a full package staying in a Hotel for six nights with flights, transfers and the course. MARATHON NEWS
Inspired To Ski Director, Sally Chapman is aiming to run her 8th or 9th (she's trying to remember!) marathon on the 26th April in London. She is again running for her main charity STARLIGHT CHILDRENS FOUNDATION for Terminal Ill Children but this year also hopes to raise money for a good friend who lost his life last year to a Brain Tumour, Ali Rainback. Our final winter 08/09 course kicks off this Saturday (18th) in Tignes. There has been 6-10 cm of snow in Tignes today and more is possibly forecasted this week, then the sun returns! We have 6-7 groups running to date from level 3-6 with a bumps course and 3 day course taking place too. We are presently looking at offering a summer course back in Tignes at the end of June, so if you are interested do contact us. Mark Gear and Dave Peek will be heading this.

SPRING seems to have arrived in the mountains this week, fantastic snow and superb blue skies and sunshine! The Chamonix Course certainly had the best of both worlds, some fresh Off Piste and latterly the sun appeared for some great skiing. Now on to Morzine, where Dave Peek and Annie Donovan, head our next Off Piste Combination and All Mountain Courses and then our 3 day Performance, this coming weekend. Conditions are amazing, with quiet pistes and beautiful weather. It will no doubt change again with even more snow forecasted soon, but for now, it's nice to have the sun ! Tignes is the venue for our last course for this season on the April 18th. The Hotel Aigle is nearly full but we have taken a neighbouring chalet so still have some availability if you have the opportunity to hit the slopes again this season. 3 day Courses, Bumps (L5) and All Mountain from level 3 to level 6 are all available. Presently 6-7 groups running.

The Chamonix trip is full steam ahead with Dave Peek, Mark Gear and Mountain Guide Jonny Baird running our groups within the Mont Blanc Domain. Fresh snow has been falling for the last few days and the sun is prediciting to shine for the next few days, so conditions look great for the end of this course and our next few weeks of courses in Morzine and Chamonix. We have limited spaces left on these courses now, we do have a few Level 4 and level 4/5 on our 3 day Performance on the 18th - 22nd March in Chamonix and possibly a space or two on our 3 day Performance in Morzine from the 21st - 24th March. The April 18th courses are selling very well and we hope to take the whole Hotel Aigle over for this period, presently 5 groups are running in Tignes from level 3 to level 6, plus a Performance Bumps Course for level 5 running and a 3 day Course available from the 18th April. So if you fancy grabbing an extra few days or weeks skiing in towards the end of the season, with some fantastic skiing at this time of the year, do contact us.

Half term and many European Holidays hit the slopes in this next month, and we must admit we tend to stay away from them on our course point of view, although we do recognise that many teachers may wish to join our courses and we are looking at trying to work a more suitable date for such professionals that have to keep their holiday times within the school programmes. However, for those heading to the slopes, have a great week or two! Our next courses start 8th March in Chamonix. We have a few spaces for our level 4/5 and level 5+ on these and then move to Morzine for the 14th/15th March Off Piste Combination and All Mountain Perf. course run by Dave Peek and Annie. We have a few spaces at level 4/5 and level 5 again. If you can still grap a few days, then you can target our 21st March date, which has 2-3 groups running from level 3. 4 and level 5. We shall be back soon to keep you posted and also give you full details on how you can book early for next season.

We have just completed our 2 big weeks in Courchevel and Morzine, with wall to wall sun for one week and then lots of snowfalls and some sun, wind for the second week. A real mixture of weather but great conditions to learn to adapt, become more versatile and for us to to help teach you what works best! Full update on our SLOPE NEWS page plus a few photos from last weeks course in Courchevel below. More photos to come! Our next courses start in March 8th, 14th, 21st in Chamonix and Morzine. We have two weeks of Off Piste Combination and a further All Mountain Course on the 14th March in Morzine, plus 3 day Courses both in Morzine and Chamonix are all still available. Then back to Tignes in April for either a 3 day Course, All Mountain or Bumps Course, take your pick!!. A HAPPY NEW YEAR to all. We have just completed two lots of 3 day Course in Morzine and our first Ladies Weekend. Beautiful blue skies, empty pistes, a little chilly at times but some superb skiing with Brayn, Dave and Tim. Dave is presently on his way to Courchevel as we speak, so we shall keep you updated on conditions there. We have 35 out this week and 40 next week, plus a further 40 in Morzine on our 3 day courses, so we hope to have some more news, photos and hopefully snow forecasts for you! We shall update our News pages fully in the New Year and add some more photos from our recent trips to Tignes. With regards to availability for January we have: 3rd-6th Jan - a few spaces possibly. 11th Jan - Courchevel, 1 female share and one male share, possibly one twin room in the Dahu. 18th Jan - No room left in the Dahu but we may be able to fit one or two on courses. 17th Jan - 20th Jan - 3 day Course Morzine, we may have one or two spaces for this period and the 3 days afterwards from the 20th - 24th Jan. Today's photo from Tignes.As you can see, it's been snowing in the Alps and many resorts have opened earlier than normal. Tignes has had some great early snowfalls and more is due towards the end of this week. Let's hope it continues. There are a few spaces left on our 6th and 13th Dec if you are still interested do call us. For this weeks course we wish you a great weeks skiings.More updates and news coming soon.

NOVICE AND NERVOUS, ALL MOUNTAIN PERFORMANCE JAN 09 COURCHEVEL, Hotel Dahu.
We have reserved the popular Dahu Hotel, run by Mark Warner, once again, for two weeks in January 09. If you are new to the sport or have skied for years but just feel you are not managing to crack it or want to gain more confidence and move onwards and upwards, then these two weeks are perfect. We run other courses along side the Novice and Nervous Course, so colleagues that may wish to improve their own levels or push towards the Off Piste, etc can also come!

4. Ali Rainback Fund...
We are deeply saddened to inform clients, espeically those that may know or have been taught by Ali in the past, the news of Ali's passing away this week (22nd June) after a courageous and brave, brave fight against a Brain Tumour. We would like to help raise money for the unbelievable HOSPICE, that gave Ali and his family fantastic care, help and dignity. Hospice of St Francis (Berkhampstead), like so many Hospice's they rely very strongly on private funding to help supply,maintain the wonderfull, professional, services they do. If you can help towards Ali's fund, for which his family have pledged to open a further bed, we would be grateful. 5. London Marathon - NEWS 2008 - 13th April 2008...Next one 26th April 2009....
Sally is delighted to have completed her 8th marathon, in London (13th April). It was a very focused run, having had a terrible last 6 weeks of training but Sally completed the 26.2 miles in 3 hrs 41. Not her PB but she is really pleased to have finished under the 'Good for your Age' time, which guarantees her an entry for next year.....if she wants to do it!!
